Plural of scheme

What is the proper plural of scheme? Schemes? Schema? Schemeta? Schemata?
Seems like I was taught that schema was the proper form, but can't find any references to that.
Thanks! -Cloy

Probably because scheme is a regular English
noun, made plural as schemes.
