Plural of B/L

I am using the abbreviation B/L (bill of lading) in a text for a customer. Sometimes, I need to write the plural form. I have used B/Ls, but the customer insists that it is Bs/L (because of bills of lading). I disagree because I consider the abbreviation itself a noun and think that the plural should be formed with an s at the end. Example: CEOs, PCs. Could anyone help?

Thanks,

Uta

I agree with your customer, but it sounds to me silly to fret over such a small point in a text. In addition, have you heard of this wise saying? The customer is always right.
