Plural form of person

Hi everyone,

Could somebody, please, help me to sort out which of the two plural forms below is correct.

one person - two people

one person - two persons

For the vast majority of uses you are likely to come across, one person, two people will be the best choice.

You will hear things like "two persons of interest are being interviewed as part of the investigation" but unless you are reporting on a police investigation or other specific uses, consider "people" to be he plural of "person."
