plural form

Anything which is not countable remains same in plural form too, for eg; sand, hair rain.. but why do we say stars instead of star, even stars are not countable is nt it..

Wrong! You can certainly say, on a clear night, "Do you see those three bright stars near the horizon?" Obviously you can count three different stars. That means that stars are countable. A star is a point of light, not a substance.
