Don't you use 'hairs' when you want to refer to hair strands as individual objects in a group, as opposed to the whole of someone's hair?

Hair is both singular and plural. and it's better to use hair, not hairs which is totally wrong. just like you can not say works, or sheeps, or fishes. These words are both singular and plural.

Your head is what is on your head. Eg, I have long hair.

A hair is a strand of hair. Eg. There are some hairs on your dress.
