Plural apostophies
I am having an argument at the moment with English teaching staff with regards to a poster being sent out. It reads:
Contact the Secretaries office (1 office with many secretaries working in it). There is a debate that it should read Contact the Secretaries' office (with an apostophy).
I am arguing the point that if it were many offices Secretaries' office would be right, but there is only one office. Am I right???
Please help.
