Plunge

I think I heard this on tv 'I shouldn't have left my emotions plunge my judgement'. Is that correct?

Top answer

I looked it up. Plunge means: to move, fall, or be thrown suddenly forwards or downwards. But I think the sentence may be: I shouldn't have let my emotions plunge my judgement.

A more common phrasing would be:

I shouldn't have let my emotions affect my judgement.
