Pls tell me how to say this.
Hi,
Will you check the sentence below?
This idea was planted at the very first stage of studying English.
And I would like to mean "my first days of studying English" but don't know how.
a) "This idea was planted at the very first stage of studying English of mine." Is this correct?
b) Is there any smarter way to say this, using the word, stage?

You could change the sentence around completely to use subject + verb + object construction: "In the first days that I studied English, the idea was planted" or "The idea was planted in the first days that I studied English" If you need to use "my" then you are making an action (verb) into a noun. g.

It sounds like "The idea was planted in the first days that I studied English" is the best choice for this time, since "my English studies" seems a bit different from what I want to mean.
