Essay & Composition Writing

Pls review my ielts essay.

In many places, people’s lifestyle is changing rapidly, and this affects family relationships. Do you think the advantages of those developments outweigh the disadvantages?

From my perspective, while there is some disadvantages of this trend, I would argue that the advantages are more significant.

To begin with, I believe this trend can be negative in several ways. First, many young people nowadays depend on electronic devices so much which causes the downfall of communication. To illustrate this, the young people have a regular habit of exchanging pleasantries with each other instead of face-to-face communications which lead to the deterioration of relationships because they do not have a chance to express their attitude clearly causing the clash of personalities. Additionally, people do not have a chance to exceed their social skills like to be a team player. Furthermore, the procrastination happened in some young people in both studying and working. For example, the young tend to play video games or surfing the social networking sites on a daily basic, causing time-consuming and easily be lost in the virtual world.

On the other hand, changing people’s way of life has a lot of benefits. First of all, people are likely to keep abreast of national and international news. To illustrate this, they have chance to accelerate the flow of information. Furthermore, they will be likely to save the documentaries as well as interact with others without paying charge. Second, people tend to have a laid-back attitude when watching online movies, travel around the world within a ‘’click’’. A typical example of this is many people choose online booking instead of lining up which allows them to reduce time-consuming.

To sum up, I believe the advantages of changing people’s lifestyle outweigh its advantages. And this is a positive development..
