Museums and art galleries should concentrate on works that show history and culture of their own country rather than works of the other parts in the world. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
From my perspective, while I accept that many museums and art galleries should focus on works of arts that show history and culture of their own country. I would argue that the works of other nations in the world are also appealing to audiences, and have many benefits to some extent.
To begin with, it is a good idea to exhibit works of art of local areas. It is clear that it boosts national pride and inspires the young generations to have a passion for arts. To illustrate this, some priceless portraits or ceramics which are appeal to many people. They all have an inside significance on each work of arts, helping the young have a grasp of knowledge as well as broaden their horizons. Furthermore, some musical instruments are very attractive too. It not only conveys the aesthetic qualities of the arts, but it also helps some national museums and galleries increase more income from those who commission a work of arts or support the philanthropic organizations from funding for the arts, which promote job prospects and allows the young to inherit and follow the literary and artistic heritage.
On the other hand, I believe that the works of other countries play an important role in the development of performance art. First, there are a wide variety of priceless portraits which attracts the attention of many people in national and international countries. For instance, it enables audiences to embark on gaining insight into various works of art of many talented artists and painters around the world. Second, it helps to bond the relationship between many nations in the world to exchange artistic and cultural values. To illustrate this, the art movement of another country is a little different compared to their country, appealing to a connoisseur of arts.
To sum up, I believe beyond the benefits of exhibiting the works of arts of the national country, people have a chance to broaden their horizons from other nations.
