Pls i need help on this my Eramus Mundus Motivation Scholarship letter....THanks
I am Itua John Ilenbiluan, a hardworking and passionate I.T professional with a BSc in Computer Science and an advocate for the development of IT in Nigeria with this letter, would like to apply for the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for the European Master in Distributed Computing (at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden; the Instituto Superior Técnico, IST, Portugal and the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, UPC, Spain, which are top universities in Europe) which would enable me to promote / develop effectively IT in Nigeria through my work in this field. After my BSc, my diversified professional experience and an invaluable internship at the International Criminal Court (ICC), the program of Advanced studies in Scalable and reliable distributed systems, Advanced Networking and the Internet is indeed the best steppingstone in order to pursue my career in Distributed Systems. Since my secondary school days I have developed great interests for Computer Networks and the Internet so that, as an advocate of making the World a Global village and making Africa/Nigeria an I.T hub, along the growing market for IT experts, I made the choice to enrol at the Ambrose Alli University for my BSc in Computer Science. There I had the chance to get acquainted with, and to study different branches of computer science, from databases to Artificial Intelligent, Data Communication & Networking, software engineering, etc. In order to deepen my knowledge of the Internet and develop my abilities in this specific domain, I furthermore obtained CISCO certifications as a Network engineer. Subsequently I employed these knowledge and abilities in practice, as an IT professional for Cobranet. I excelled in all my task as a technical support engineer, providing in particular first level computer technical support and guidance to users of our modems, ensuring timely follow up and documentation of cases, contributing to the development of the IT infrastructure by participating in the testing of new modems and router, analyzing issues and proposing solutions to contribute to the team knowledge. On account of my involvement, and my dedication and commitment to this work, I was then selected for an internship at the ICC. Worked at the Information and Communications Section for six months, and have gained precious experience in particular in the field of I.T. infrastructure management and ITIL and (PRINCE2) Project management. What striked me the most, however, was when a Consultant from Microsoft recommended the use of the new Cloud services(Office 365) for e-mail services: it hits me that similar ideas and solutions could be implemented back home in Nigeria for SMEs and universities/schools, setting up cheaper solutions to physical servers. This experience has also enabled me to become accustomed to the management of large and distributed systems network around the world (field offices in Africa, the HQ in The Netherlands), and to the carrying out of work in international environments. As an indigent candidate with no sufficient funds to finance the Master Programme, the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship is today a necessary condition to the accomplishment of professional projects and my lifetime goal of being an Internetwork Expert. Specializing in Distributed System through this Master Programme will indeed broadening my perspective in Scalable & Reliable Distributed Systems, Advanced Networking and the Internet. I trust that my educational background and working experience, academic records and my competences recommend me for the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship, to study in Distributed Computing Programme during the 2014/15 academic year. I would be most grateful if you could give my application your most favourable consideration.
sincerely, itua john
