Pls help me with the motivation letter for a european scholarship programe

Greetings to all,

pls help me with the motivation letter, the main problem which i think is that i dont
how much to emphasis on the need for scholarship. My version goes as follows.

Dear Sir,


I am writing this letter to apply for the Masters Course “MSc in Network and e-Business
Centred Computing “.

I like science. I have always been and interested in science. My Father who is a retired technician used to run an electronics and electrical workshop, and so developed a keen
interest in me towards electronics hardware. However keeping in mind the demand of the industry I decided to pursue computer engineering. I cleared the IITJEE 1998 (Indian Institute of Technology Joint Engineering Entrance) with an AIR (All India Rank) of 1424 and CEE1998 with an AIR of 97 and joined B.E. in computer engineering from NSIT (NETAJI SUBHAS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY – UNIVERSITY OF DELHI).

The curriculum of the engineering degree focused on principles of programming , principles of computer graphics, discrete math and algorithm design , advanced computer architecture , information system and data management . Elective subjects taken by me were s/w engineering and artificial intelligence. My final year project was based on “Character recognition using neural networks”.

During the campus interviews in May -June 2001, I was selected as a programmer by
TIL (Tata InfoTech limited) but because of the economic impact of the terrorist attack on World Trade Centre in September 2001 the job offer was taken back. However I graduated as a computer engineer from NSIT in August 2002 and was selected by TCIL (Telecommunication Consultants India Limited) as an executive trainee. After 6 months of intensive training in Basic telecom, advanced telecom & management training I joined as a programmer in the IT division of TCIL INDIA .and worked as an IT consultant and programmer for a period of 6 months .In September 2003 I was deputed to TCIL Kuwait to look after the in house needs IT needs of TCIL Kuwait .Since March 2004 I have been working as an NMS Engineer in Kuwait Oil Company as a part of TCIL Manpower contract. In December 2005 I was promoted as an Assistant Manager and since then I am handling some business development activities along with the job of an NMS Engineer.

With a solid foundation in computer science and engineering and 2 years of experience in IT & Telecom Industry , I have made up my mind to pursue a master’s degree which could boost my career in the global IT & Telecom industry and I am confident that by understanding the technical underpinnings and business opportunities of the new economy through in depth study of computing and network technology and specialized e-business techniques I would be able to achieve my target.
