The bar chart compares the proportion of Australian men and women in six age brackets who did regular physical activity in the year 2010.
Overall, between the ages of 25 and over, the percentage of Australian women was higher than men who did regular physical activity. In the 15-24 age bracket, the percentage of men was higher than women.
Women in the 45-54 age bracket were 53,3% which were the highest figure in 2010. The lowest figure was recorded in the Australian female at that time, with 47,1%. From 15 to 54 age, the percentage of Australian women who did regular physical activity tends to increase, while others who were from 55 to over tend to decrease. Male in between 15 and 54 age brackets were 52,8% which were the highest figure of Australian males.
In the 15-24 age bracket, the proportion of Australian males was higher than females, with 5,1%. In contrast, the percentage of women was higher than men in 25-34, 35-44, 45, 54, 55-64, and 65-over age brackets, with 6,7%, 13%,10,2%, 7,9% and 0,4% respectively.
