The three pie charts compare the proportion of annual spending in a particular the United Kingdom school in 1981, 1991, and 2001. They have 5 different categories: insurance, teachers' salaries, furniture and equipment, resources, and other workers' salaries.

Overall, insurance, furniture and equipment have an upward trend, while resources (e.g books) and other workers' salaries have a downward tren in 1981, 1991 and 2001. Teachers' salaries tend to increase in 1991 and decrease in 2001.

In 1981, insurance was 2%. After 20 years, insurance had an increase to 8%. In contrast, 15%, 28% spending were spent on resources (e.g books) and other workers' salaries respectively. In 1991, they went down. After a decade, they decreased to 9% on resources and 15% on other workers' salaries.

In comparison, teachers' salaries was 40% and furniture and equipment was 23% in 1981. In 1991, teachers' salaries went up, by 10%, while furniture and equipment spending went down, by 10%. In contrast, furniture and equipment rose to 23%, while teachers' salaries fell to 45% in 2001. Furniture and equipment increased by 18% and teachers' salaries decreased by 5%.
