People have differing views about the purpose of the museum. While it is often stated that a museum is a place of entertainment, I would argue that it is also a place to bring up various things.

On the one hand, the museum is popular to relieve stress and relax as an entertainment place. The main reason for believing this is that many museums have monumental architecture, such as Tate Modern in London or Mauritshuis in the Hague, Netherlands that lead to a great deal of people visit them to take many beautiful photos. Visitors feel fulfilled to update these pictures and check-in museum on social media. Unique design and architecture of museums hold people spellbound rather than many art compositions in some cases.

On the other hand, there are many reasons that lead me to believe that the museum has to an educational place to gain knowledge. Firstly, in the museum, people have a great chance to take up new things, For example, the Whitney Museum of American Art has equally fascinating collections of American contemporary art from the 20th and 21st centuries. Every year, thousands of people from home and aboard come to visit it. They can understand the development of art in American history. Knowing about the past helps people to more understand about the present. Secondly, it is widely known that one of the most important regulations' museums is that keeping the silence. A peaceful environment in a major museum is the best evidence to show the museum's purpose. It helps people concentrating and exploring interesting things and yourselves. For instance, many Vietnamese schools have a trip to visit local historical museums every year. This trip always looks like an outdoor class to have lectures about history, compositions, and ruins. And students need to keep silence and take notes necessary information on the trip to prepare a presentation in the class.

In conclusion, the purpose of museums depend on one's point of view, but I believe that the museum is the intersection of entertainment and education.
