Living in a big city is bad for people’s health. To what extend do you agree or disagree?

People have different views about whether living in a big metropolis is bad for people’s well-being. While I accept that settling down in a large city have a deterioration to people’s health in some ways, I would argue that big city offer a huge number of good equipment for people to search for a cure.

On the one hand, it is a good idea to settle down in such a big metropolis. First of all, an accelerating number of amenities are well-equipped in hospital such as a modern operating theatre and another medical techniques, which help victims to have a regular check to reduce the rate of getting degenerative illnesses. Moreover, people are likely to transport to hospital more quickly than those who live in rural areas reducing time-consuming and traffic congestion. Second, food processing are checked regularly and fit to the safe hygiene standard. Besides, all products have shelf life expired, they are no longer fit in market will be banned on selling. In addition, government tend to organize many health awareness campaign for people in all corners of a city to follow a healthier and balanced lifestyle.

On the other hand, I would argue that they are better for people to live far from such a big city such as rural areas or the outskirt of a city. Firstly, a huge amount of polluting industry in wastes in city discharging into environment like river, underground spoiling the quality of water, soil and have a negative impact on human’s health. Moreover, traffic jams are not likely to happen reducing the rate of getting respiratory disease and cancer such as cholera, ashma. Second, organic food are produced carefully and less chemical subtances like pesticide which protect customers against spoil appetite and food poisoning.

To sum up, why many people think living in such a large metropolis are bad for their well-being, I would argue that there are some advantages of this opinion.
