Pls could you check the grammer for me
My former student asked me to write her a recommendation as a guidance counselor( I already gave her a teacher recommendation), but I i have no idea how to do it and my english isn't so good either. Could you please help me with the grammar and tell me if I need to add something.
To Whom It May Concern:
Although I had already given you my recommendation as a teacher, want to add a few more things about ……….. as a guidance counselor.
…………… worked under my supervision from September 2003 to June 2008 and I feel that she is a deserving candidate for your undergraduate school program. In a competitive school as “………….” Gymnasium most of the students do not find time for extra- or school- activities. With my guidance and help, but most importantly with determination and ability to affectively use her time ………. managed to do both.
During ……….’s third year of high school the school 45th anniversary was taking place. She spent considerable time involved in preparation for the event. As a passionate aikido player she took the initiative and organized a demonstration in front of the school. It was a very impressive performance and everybody enjoyed it very much.
One more thing worth mentioning is that for the event foreign guests were invited- all students had to spend the week in a Bulgarian family. Despite her heavy schedule ……….. took a Turkish girl with her and her family. It turned out that the girl can’t speak German and the only language they were able to communicate in was English. In my opinion that was the time when ……. decided to study English more intensively.
The thing I admire most about ………… is her dedication to the school life. I have never seen her miss a school sport event or theater performance. She was always there supporting her schoolmates.
It is clear to me as I hope it is to you that this young girl, ……………., is an exceptional candidate, one that would contribute greatly to any program. I wholeheartedly recommend her and wish her the very best in all future endeavors.
