pls correct this motivation letter for a masters programme in human rights

I believe that International Human Rights standards can only be effectively implemented if they are known. Known by those who are soliciting for their rights and known by legal practitioners like me,who are to guarantee the protection of such rights or provide for redress when those rights are infringed upon. This premise is hinged on my belief that Human rights education is an integral part towards the promotion and protection of Human Rights.

My enthusiasm for this course is knowledge. Knowledge not for its own sake but knowledge that will enable me to be a part of the team of people committed to the awakening the consciousness of individuals ,Governments and States to the values embodied in Human Rights Laws.

My interest in Human rights was birth in the year 2003 when i was a participant in a 3 day moot court competition. We appeared before the International Criminal Court and made our argument why a certain African ex-president be extradited to the International criminal court for trial. The competition mae it important for us to carry out researches.

This research not only made me aware of facts and figures of the and mutilated but also aroused my interest in Internaional Human Rights Law.

I believe this course will aid me in fulfilling my dream and achieving my goal.I wish to also be involved in educating people on Human Rights. Not just the theory part of it but to build in people respect for Human Rights , to also work with the relevant Government bodies or other instituitons to ensure that Human Rights Laws become a reality through social, economic and political development.

My journey in the field of Human Rights has just begun. I am eager to learn more,do more and be more.
