Pls correct my campaign speech

Could any teacher correct my campaign speech please? Thank you in advance!

Good afternoon, my dear friends.
Today I am very glad to have the chance to run for Vice President of the English Club. I am Li Jin, a senior student in English Department.
As everybody knows, this is a job that requires managerial skills and strong dedication, and I feel that I am the best qualified candidate to take the job. First, having been monitor for years, I have acquired a lot of experience in communicating and organizing. Second, I am warm-hearted and always ready to help others, which, no doubt, are essential qualities for a vice president. Better still, I have a variety of hobbies such as basketball, football, etc.
If I am lucky enough to be elected vice president, I won’t let you down. On the one hand, I will invite more famous professors to lecture on English study to expand our horizon. On the other, I'll organize more debates and speech contests with other colleges to enhance intercollegiate competition and cooperation.
My dear friends, I cannot encourage you enough to make the right choice and vote for me, but please believe me that I will make a difference once elected!
