The flicker and flash

The darkness of night was disturbed by the flickering and flashes of light from the house which stood isolated amongst the forest woods. May followed the lights all the way to the house and made her way through the large framed door. She wandered about not feeling afraid however after sensing footsteps behind her she jumped to her toes in fright. Owing to the sound of footsteps she turned behind and ultimately she saw a big shadow which was shone on the wall, behind the couch.Turning her head to a side she sped towards the door and made an abrupt stop after realizing that the shadow was coming her way. May's heart skipped a beat as she turned towards the opposite direction. A cat pounced on her. She froze for a minute. The soft fur brushed against May's arm when she came to an understanding that it was her cat, Streek, whom she had lost the other day on her way home from jogging. Though this fact relieved May she remembered the flashes from the house. Now that she was half interested in it she left the site and made her way home. She slipped into her bed directly and let out a big yawn. She saw it once again. It flickered and flashed. However her eyes were too tired that she went to sleep.
