Pls check a few sentence

1)nanny-woman who care about a young children /a grandmother
2)defamation -act when somebody hurt somebody's reputation by fake accusations
3)pass muster- to accept something as to meet standards
"which apps passed muster"
4)trash (your battery)- to damage something (your battery)
5)belittle their motivations- make smaller their motivations
