Pls check

(1)He suggests us sending the case to HR dept , that will act accordingly.

Is it wrong using "that" here?

(2) I forgot to delete the second column when drafting the email.

Should i use "when" or "while" or both are accepted.

(1) that is incorrectly used. when the object will do sthg,it takes the objective for, hence "which" is the proper word.

(2) while is the correct word.
