Shot plot
In the course of 20 years, a pair of lovebirds persists on their feelings in the backdrop of cultural, political, and societal changes – birthing a difficult, yet unforgettable relationship.

Long plot
The story begins as Yulia narrates her longtime love story with a neighbor boy, Rumi. Under Indonesia's political and societal changes, Yulia and Rumi grow up together and become lovebirds, persisting through hardships and developing through cracks. As Yulia matures, Rumi stays as the boy who constantly ends up in trouble and is often nowhere to be found. She is moving on, but all the chaos he causes returns to her as a sweet memory, halting her from forgetting him completely.
