pleasing/pleasant

Hi
Please help me with this.
The evenings there were pleasant.
How about someone coming out with pleasing in place of pleasant? Does it sound alright?

We might say 'a pleasing arrangement of flowers', but not 'a pleasing evening'.

In fact, if you Google "a pleasing evening", it will ask you, "Did you mean 'a pleasant evening'?"
