student should be taught academic knowledge so that they can pass exams and skills such as cooking and dressing should not be taught. To what extent do you agree or disagree ?

Nowadays people have priority for the theoretical knowledge over practical skills. The reason behind this phenomenon is the never-ending thirst of good marks of most parents in society. This essay will argue that the existences of both academic knowledge and other skills are entirely necessary.

Most parents always care about their children's appearance at school, which is usually reflected by scores attained in their curriculums. As a result, to manage the study of their children , parents want to eradicate exterior things that may interrupt these processes. Skills such as cooking and sewing are not exceptions. This is resulted from the notion that abilitis learned through development such skills do not exert any influences on the later life of children.

From my point of view, the development of academic understanding doubled with the advance of life skills is the optimum method to teach children. Life is a diverse manifestation of unconceivable aspects. Some of them can not be solved with only knowledge learned from books or only life skills. Consequently , exposure to these two provides children with keys to deal with those rigorous circumstances. America is one of the top countries applying the parallel method for developing these two sides. And what they attained is the obvious evidences of itself success.

This essay argued that their is a flawed understanding of the way in which children should be taught. In my opinion, the priority for only academic knowledge is a stumbling block that may jeopadise children's futures.
