Please,Check the grammar in this short paragragh

Hi, Please some one check this paragraph:

Last spring,I and my husband went to Shiraz.That was a great city.(it).

The weather was very good.We enjoyed it.No wonder we didn't like to get back. Shirazian people are so hospitable and the city is full of

archeologies.It has many land marks.I liked to be there more but we were there for two weeks.We had a great time there.I really enjoyed it.

Customarily we put others before ourselves in phrases like "my husband and I". Your paragraph is pretty good. Here's what I would change:

Last spring, my husband and I went to Shiraz. That was a great city. ("it" or "that" works! "That" sounds more reflective.) The weather was very good. We enjoyed it. No wonder we didn't like to getting (I prefer "coming") back. Shirazian people are so hospitable and the city is full of archeology. It has many landmarks. I ~~liked~~ wanted to be there more (I prefer "longer") but we were there for only two weeks. We had a great time there. I really enjoyed it.

I'm not an English teacher, but I think I can explain the difference between infinitives and gerunds after "like". Hopefully others will correct or add to my opinion. Usually there is no difference. When speaking "in general" these sentences have the same meaning:

I like to eat bananas.
I like eating bananas.

When you're speaking about the past, as long as you're speaking "in general" these sentences still have the same meaning:

I liked to eat bananas.
I liked eating bananas.

But if you're talking about a specific occurrence when you enjoyed eating bananas... let's say it was a Monday and you were with you're friend Bob...

then you must use the gerund:

I liked eating bananas (that one particular time on Monday with Bob).

You can't use an infinitive to refer to a specific event. So when you said...

You're referring to a specific occurrence of when you came back, therefore a gerund is necessary:

No wonder we didn't like getting back (or coming back).

You liked being there (gerund referring to the specific event) and you would like to be there more (in general, didn't actually happen).I would rephrase this sentence by changing the tense:

I would have liked to be there more, but we were there for only two weeks.
