Please tell which version of the sentence you'd choose?

Could you please tell me which version you would choose and how to say them correctly?

1 People allow themselves things /to do things /permit themselves things that are not to be done. People help themselves to things that aren't theirs.
2 You need to enjoy life, at least what you have left of it/the time you have left of it.

3 I've been in this company longer than you but less/shorter than him.

4 I keep being too lazy to do it.

5 What time did you set the alarm (for?)

6 I like to work (on) holidays.
