Please tell me which grammatical rule to use for this case?

Hi,

To {Can you scratch my back for me?}, We can't say, "Can you scratch me my back?"

Could any one tell me which grammatical rule to use for this case?

Thank you for your assistance.

Some verbs are ditransitive (that is, they accept two objects) but most are not.

Hi,

Thank you for the information given to me.

I'd try to suppose ditransitive verb designed to make a relationship of [reachinng as far as] or [belonging to] between its two objects.

And some els can't do so, but designed to end in the indirect object through the direct object.

Such as : Your example, Can you scratch may back for me?
