In many workplaces, online communication is now more common than face-to-face meetings. Do advantages of this trend outweight the disadvantages?

There is a tendancy that face-to-face meetings are replaced by the talks via Internet media. In my opinion, the benefits of this trend are more considerable than the drawbacks.

On the one hand, it is true that direct communication has several positive point. First of all, face-to-face conversation boosts the co-operation between colleagues as it is straightforward for them to exchange the ideas. For example, many workplaces design their work environment in the way that different departments can socialise easier like Google or Apple. Secondly, face-to-face talks help the co-worker strengthen their relationships. It is acknowledged that when people contact directly, the connection between them is getting stronger which is significantly essential for a organisation to grow.

On the other hand, I am convinced that online communication is more suitable and better nowaday. Firstly, companies can help their employers work better by relocating their working area, at their own home instead of at the office. In fact, it really saves people's time when they can work at home and communicate with their collegues through Internet when they need. For instance, instead of commuting a far distance for a short meeting, they only need to stay at home and open their laptop connected to Internet. Secondly, in today world, when the pandamic is out of control, it is much safer for people to work at home and have online telephone or video phone call as the less people directly contact with other, the better for the community.

In conclusion, online communication trend is becoming more crucial and necessary in modern world.
