Okay well... I have typed an email to a friend recently. And as I wished to ask her out for a coffee meeting, I wrote "I would like to invite you for a coffee meeting if you did not mind". And now she has not been replying me for quite a serveral days. Actually, I guess there should be something wrong with my above conditional. I am not sure, but it just sounds weird to me; however it seems grammartically correct since it is the second conditional which reflects that I am not very sure for her consent therefore I am saying this in a more humble and polite and perhaps unsure way.
Before I really looked into Conditionals, I had been using things like : If you don't mind, I would like to invite you to my party. By the way, do you know what conditional is this? I really am in doubt.
And please also tell me whether the sentence in my email was right or not.
thanks a lot
