(An angry look was employed for her answering me.)
(While she answered me, an angry look was used.)

2. He killed her with a knife.
(A knife was used for his killing her.)
(While he killed her, a knife was employed.)

3. I got this job through an employment agency.
(An employment agency is used for my getting this job.)
(While I got this job, an employment agency was employed.)

4. We express our thoughts by means of words.
(Words are used for our expressing our thoughts.)
(While we express our thoughts, words are employed.)
