Please, tell me if there's any problem with this sentence.

Hi,

I came across while browsing online a peculiar looking sentence.

"Yet the lives of me and my family are scarred."

What so peculiar is these two words; "me" and "family."

Would you please explain me about the usage of those two words, and

please tell me if there should be any correction to be made.

Thank you very much for your kind reply,

Hi Anon: ... "of me and (of) my family".. Me and family are objects of the preposition "of" The sentence is somewhat awkward, but is otherwise OK.

I think the problem with that sentence is "me" should've been "mine," and

"family" should've been "family's," meaning those two words should've been

possessive.

If you change the sentence to a simple form,
