Please tell me if it's really wrong (Glaring mistake)

Our client reviewed your sample and it seems unhappy with the level of copyediting. We will wait for further response from them. Meanwhile, please don’t process further chapters. We will get back to you when we receive further information.

In the above sentence, I have added "it" before the seems. Here my team people are telling it's glaring mistake and sentence also meaningless. Is it true?

Yes, it's wrong. You could say eg Our client reviewed your sample and they seem unhappy with the level of copyediting. But it's a better sentence if you just remove 'it''.
