Please take a look at my grammar... thanks

In a short story “A Clean, Well-Lighted Place” by Ernest Hemingway, the author wants young readers to share the feeling of emptiness and loneliness of being old. Furthermore, old people get less respect and look down from young people. Because they are old, young people want to put them aside and question their existence. In Hemingway’s story, two waiters represent two different generations and the old drunken man is a person to be judged. Although the old man does not say anything, we feel sympathy for him, a man who had gone through many obstacles in life. However, the young waiter does not think like that. He is selfish and impatient. He delibrately overfills the glass of wine and forces the old man to leave the café place. On the other hand, the older waiter understands why the old man drinks and why he prefers a clean, well-lighted café place instead of a bar. The café place offers the old man as well as the old waiter a place to sense their existence. Although the old man has a lot of money, it cannot bring him happiness at the end of his life. He is isolated and lonely. At the end of the story, the author brings in the concept of nada or nothingness. Not only it is telling us this world is just an illusion, it also teaches us not to be greedy. We should not let money enslave our lives to the point of forgetting our own happiness. When we realize everything is just “nada”, it would be too late to be regretted.

and this one too..

In our world, all parents love their children unconditionally. It does not matter what mistake their children have caused, parents will always open their hands widely to welcome their children back in. In a parable “The Parable of the Prodigal Son”, the naïve, greedy younger son takes half of his father’s wealth and spent all to the last penny. Yet his father does not punish him. Instead, the father celebrates for his younger son has understood about life. When we have money, people will rather around us and cherish us. When we are in trouble or poor, everyone would stay as far as possible from us; “And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him.” Furthermore, this parable tells us about relationship between brothers. Although they are blood brothers, the older brother jealous of the love his father gives to his younger brother. He feels unfairly treated. However it does not matter whether his brother or him fall down, his father will always pull them up.
