Close your eyes, what do you see ?
Atop of food chain, we evolved from monkey
That's what people say, you may disagree
The truth speaks, it was written in history
From discovering fire and the use of stone
Today, our lives are controlled by the cellphone
What is happening, have you ever pondered ?
With newest technology in the world, we're not wiser
Read this CNBC headline the other today
Students failing the SAT at an alarming rate
Concerns need to be raised before it is too late
We nurtured a generation that can't communicate
Can't spell, can't multiply, can't rationalize
Consumed by technology, completely hypnotized
Showing no plans for future, lacking motivation
Just look around, It's a reality, not an imagination
Constantly using cellphones, but no real conversation
A decade from now, how do you see us as a nation
It is hard to comprehend as we are too blind to see
Writing on the wall, the nation of plenty and prosperity
I am afraid will meet its fate and unexpected destiny
