Please revise the wrong sentences!

I have revised the following wrong sentences as follows.
[1] The teacher told us to see what he was doing.
-> The teacher told us to see what he had been doing. (Am I right ?)

[2].Her beautiful blond hairs were shining in the sun.
-> Her beautiful blond hair was shining in the sun.( We can't count the number of hair like the noun of "sand", it should be in singular. Am I right ?)

[3] I expect that you will be able to come to the party.
-> I expect that you can come to the party. ( Looks its tense is strange.Am I right ?)

[4] Businessmen invest vast amounts on these industries.
->Businessmen invest vest amount of money in these industries.
( In this sentence, Can't I use the preposition of "in" instead of "on" ?)

[5] I'm doing the course to expand my job opportunities.
-> I'm taking the course to expand my job opportunities. ( "doing" looks odd here. Am I right ?)

Thanks in advance.
