Essay & Composition Writing

Please revise my writing task 2. This is a revised version of an essay that I have posted recently

Nowadays, many families move overseas for job opportunities. Some people think this is beneficial for the children of these families, while others think children will find it difficult. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Working overseas is becoming popular among families. While some people believe that this can benefit children, others claim that it is not easy for them. From my perspective, immigrating to a new country can be a great challenge, in terms of culture shock and discrimination, but children can be provided with high-quality education and better living standards.

First of all, children may find it difficult to deal with some trying circumstances in foreign nations. It is common that newcomers are likely to feel upset and irritated due to language barriers or not understanding new settings, foods, or cultural attitudes. Another serious problem is discrimination, which has long been associated with negative effects on overall well-being, such as bullying and verbal abuse, as previous studies have found. As these problems continue, children can easily fall into the feeling of isolation and anxiety.

That being said, living in developed countries can be beneficial in many aspects. Children will be provided with opportunities to study in a higher quality education, which can offer them not only academic knowledge but also practical and creative problem-solving skills. Through a wide range of both outdoor and indoor activities, children become more confident, thus actively engaged in the new life. Moreover, moving to developed countries with better living conditions will be a favorable condition for young people to develop themselves better. According to the research conducted by UNICEF, children living in good environments have more chances of reaching their full potential and acquiring social skills more effectively than those not.

In conclusion, expatriating to foreign countries can be difficult, as regards culture shock and discrimination. However, I believe that these problems are just temporary and children will be rewarded with numerous benefits provided by better living standards and a good educational system
