Having more money and less free time is better than earning less money and having more free time. Discuss both views and state your opinion.

Some people think that it is advantageous to have a job with a high wage, even if it means having less free time, while others believe in the value of time over money. In my opinion, both arguments have its merits, and I suggest that people need to find the right balance in terms of finding a job with good compensation and providing an ample amount of time to spend with the family as well.

It is true that money is important as far as family stability is concerned. Having a job that pays well means meeting the basic necessities of your family, sending your children to reputable schools and providing gifts to your wife once in a while and thus results to a sense of satisfaction among family members. The recent survey conducted by the American Government about family matters found that more than 30% of successful families are those who belong to high-income groups, which suggests a strong relationship between earning and family stability.

Despite these advantages, I would argue that earning a huge amount of money at the expense of family time could be detrimental to relationships. Having enough time with family strengthens the bonding of relations among loved ones. The lack of interactions among family members leads to the destruction of the family. In fact, one of the predominant reasons for divorce in the UK, according to researchers, is the inadequate interaction between married couples. Thus, given the importance of time as well as money to a healthy relationship, it is necessary to find the right balance between the two.

In conclusion, since money and time are both paramount, I strongly believe that people should find a healthy balance between work and spending time with their family.
