New stories on TV and in newspaper are very often accompanied by pictures.

Some people say that these pictures are more effective than words.

What is you opinion about this?

Nowadays, the development of televisions is from strength to strength that they replaced radiators in the media. In addition, televisions also have developed about images which help people stay up to date quickly information, and take a beautiful view. Some individuals said that those pictures were more effective than words. Basically I agree to this idea, but there are various ideas as well.

We can see a lot of photos and images in kinds of media. From the atmosphere, expressions to background scenery, we are able to easily understand stories by pictures. Consequently, to some extent, everybody believes that watching is more important than hearing. Besides that, the youth nowadays tend to gather data and information from the Internet rather than books. Because it is much more effective with photos, needless to say. For instance, when we learn language, studying vocabularies is very necessaries, but if we merely study by heart by using a dictionary, It will be really difficult for us to remember words. In contrast, learning vocabularies combines pictures on the Internet will help us remember quickly because the brain gets pictures faster than words.

Nevertheless, on the other hand, photos cannot tell more than they shows. For example, they indicate you a photo of a queen, but you never will not understand clearly about her all information such as her history or habitats without reading an investigation about this woman because newspaper or TV cannot reveal all because of other news they must show. As a result, they will not show you clearly and detail. When I read an article about families in the flood in the Central Vietnam, they are very detailed from children who lost parents with flood to a man who lost his wife who was pregnant. At that time, I felt strongly believe that words are also much more effective than pictures when saying about a topic.

To sum up, for the reasons mentioned above, I believe that we have to try to collect the balanced information from media, not only for the photos, but also words are valuable.
