In this fast-changing world, robots have entwined in our daily life. Some people believe that they are the key to our future, whereas others advocate that they can negatively affect and jeopardize our life. While I agree that automation might put us at risk, I would argue that robots can be beneficial simultaneously.
On the one hand, robots make life become easier when everything is at hand, you don’t need to wash your dishes or clean your clothes like you used to. Furthermore, robots neither get tired nor ask to raise their salary, they can work continuously without complaining like human do, which means that the number of products that robot produce is higher than human. Not only the quantity but the quality also has a higher accuracy rate because their activities are much more precisely than human are.
On the other hand, it is obvious that thanks to the development of technology, robots have managed to perform a great deal of human’s task like sewing, cooking, carrying,…automatically. Therefore, in the near future, we might lose our jobs to automation, which lead to the rise in the unemployed’s proportion. Moreover, robots can explode and cause fire, which is extremely dangerous to their surroundings when a malfunction occurs. Not only to the people around them, but the malfunctioned robot’s product can also lead to the breakdown of the whole company, manufacture.
In conclusion, both views certainly have some validity, it seems to me that it is better not to depend on robots too much. However, we shouldn’t put robot aside but to create their best version that overcomes its disadvantages before releasing them to the public
