Sexual harrasment often occurs against women due to absence of law protection for women itself. Thus, many women do not know what should they do when sexual violence happened to them. In addition, the law enforcement entity such as police is still slow when it comes to handling sexual harrastments. The situation is getting worse because of the social environment in Indonesia, where citizens normalize the situation and even blame the victims as a consequence of their appearance. It creates women more likely to experience sexual harrassment. Furthermore, it makes them vulnerable because if they report their case to court, it may turn back to them. For example, many sexual harrassment survivors are reported and procecuted by the perpetrators for libel and intimidated them by demanding hefty sum as compensation.

One of many ways to fight against sexual predators is enacting special laws for sexual harrassment and form a new legal entity in order to protect the victims such as SATGAS as well as rehabilitation place for the victims post-sexual harrassment. Sexual offenders will also be given a sanction in accordance how severe they committed. Besides that, awareness relating sexual harrassment is essential to do for preventing unreasonable acts if it happens in their society. As for example, carrying out sex violence seminars in the community such as universities and hoping that the students can defend theirself when the sexual harrassments come to them.

Therefore, with apparent and detailed regulations and also forming legal entity as well as informal sexual harassment education, hopefully women can enable to protect and fight back themselves from sexual harassment.
