Topic: Would you prefer to live in a traditional house or in a modern apartment building? Why?

Choosing a dwelling is an important decision for every people. Some people prefer to live in a traditional house while others are attracted to modern apartments. In my opinion, I would love to live in a modern apartment for some reasons I will mention below.

First of all, most modern apartment buildings are usually built in prime locations. They are close to the center of cities that make them very convenient for local residents. Working, shopping or studying are much easier thanks to close distances to the office, supermarket, and children’s schools. I have been living in an apartment in the center of Hanoi, one of the densest city in the world. Every day, I save much time to go to work and come home by avoiding lots of traffic jams.

Secondly, apartment buildings have better services than traditional houses. One of the most noticeable things in modern apartment buildings is great security system. They are often well equipped with lots of cameras put in their main hall, elevators as well as corridors of each floor. They are monitored consistently by professional guards so I can be totally comforting when I leave home. In contrast, without good security, quite a few stealing cases have been reported in traditional houses. In addition, modern buildings nowadays have abundant exercise facilities that people can practice at any time. In my building, residents are permitted to go to public swimming pools and gymnasium at affordable prices.

Last but not least, living in modern apartments is much quieter than does in traditional houses. Modern apartment buildings often have strict regulations on noise. For example, in my apartment building, residents are not allowed to make excessive noise at night otherwise they will be punished heavily. Therefore, there are fewer disturbances and I can concentrate on my work.

In conclusion, I prefer to live in a modern apartment than a traditional house because it is more convenient, secured and peaceful.
