Please review my Writing task 2: crime prevention

Some believe that more action should be taken to prevent crime, while others feel that crime is being tackled effectively now.

Discuss both sides and give your own opinion.

Some people suppose that more efforts should be made to inhibit crime, but others argue that crime is well-managed at the present time. In my opinion, it is better to apply more measure in order to deter crime.

A great number of governments have imposed strict punishment to deter criminality. Those who infringe the law may be rated from the society and spend years in a prison or receiving a life-time sentence. This preventive measure has greatly discouraged people from committing crime for fear of having to go into prison. Furthermore, if a criminal commit an extremely unforgivable crime, in some countries, they will receive a capital punishment for there action, which acts as a good deterrent to potential criminals so they must conform to the laws. These preventive actions greatly contribute to the crime prevention and coerce every citizen to act accordingly to the law.

It is readily apparent that the governments strict laws and intervention have opposed criminal activities adequately as evidenced by its decline. However, in my opinion, further actions should be taken into consideration in order to prevent crime. The governments should incorporate a variety of education programs in school curriculum to foster love and compassion for students’ and teach them to comply the laws. This will contribute to the reduction of juvenile crime because students trained in crime-education periods will control their emotions and behaviors better. In additions, an annual mental health checkup should be given free for people so that psychiatrists can readily prevent the diseases from developing. This yearly checkup will play a significant roles in preventing the occurrence of the crime caused by those suffer from mental health.

In conclusion, although current preventive measures to some extent curb crime, I believe that more actions should be implemented to hinder crime, which will ensure that we live a more stable and safe society.
