My essay

People around the world have myriad actions on logging and that causes many bad effects on the environment. In my opinion, there are three methods that can be done to deal with this issue such as educating people about the impact of the logging industry on the environment, encouraging people to reuse wooden products, and reduce the use of paper products.

First, the logging industry supplies raw materials for an array of products that people use in their daily lives such as writing papers, boxes, bags, houses, and furniture. People should be educated on why the usage of these products will indirectly harm the environment so that they can minimize their purchases of these products or be less wasteful in the way they use them.

Second, many paper products can be reused. people often go shopping, carry their purchases home in a paper bag, and then throw the bag away. That means the bag is used only once despite the fact that its quality makes it possible to be used several times. They can reuse it for the next shopping trip or other activities that need a bag.

Finally, consuming less paper might be the most effective action of all. With the explosive growth of technology, we can create documents, take notes, and read new articles on a computer without using paper. There are many other things we can do in our daily lives, such as using cloth napkins and towels instead of paper ones, to reduce our use of paper.

In conclusion, deforestation is clearing the earth’s forests on a massive scale. Although its effects on the environment are grave and irreversible, I think we can slow the pace of deforestation by changing the way we use wood and paper products as well as raising public awareness about the vital role of forests.
