Please review my writing task 2-08.

Some people think that news has no connection to people’s lives. Therefore, it is a waste of time to read the newspaper and watch television news programs. To what extent do you agree or disagee?

Some people believe that it is a waste of time to read the newspaper and watch television news programs which is irrelevant to their own lives. However, I partly disagree with the idea.

On the one hand, I accept that it is unaffected by events which take place in the world on their own individual lives. This may be true for them when news coverage of celebrities or the results of football matches on TV or newspaper is completely meaningless to people who do not feel interest in entertainment. Furthermore, news reports on international events which people feel pointless as they are happening outside of their local community. Thus, peole can continue to live perfectly without newspaper or TV.

On the other hand, this view is dangerously misguided for several reasons as any piece of news can be remarkably helpful in our lives.It is vital for us to see the big picture of national and international news as relevant to each other. For example, the importance of reading news is information associated with coronavirus in China which may affect any individual on the planet. As a result, if people know some information relating to this news, they may take actions right away and keep their community safety. In addition, in modern society, it is vitally important to have informed to people in order to keep abreast of any events through TV and newspaper reports.

In conclusion, although there is no irrelevance between news and our lives, I believe that it is not a waste of time to follow the news on television or newspaper.
