Please review my writing task 2 07.

Some people believe that reading stories from a book is better than watching TV or playing computer games for children. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Many people believe that it is better for youngsters to read strories rather than spending too much time on TV programmes or playing video games. In my opinion, I completely agree with this statement.

Reading books can assist children not only acquire knowledge but also improve their imagination and critical thinking in comparison with watching TV or playing games. Stories from book will stimulate children to create a world in their mind and analyzie the plot to work out the meaning behind. Furthermore, children who regularly read books will have a good concentration. This result in, youngsters can facilitate their learning at school more effectively and stick in one’s mind longer than watching videos or playing computer games. Also, stories from a book broaden one’s literary horizons and develop literary appreciation skills useful in later life.

On the other hand, children tend to watch TV programmes and play video games in order to unwind and ease their study burden. However, If their parents do not control their children, they will spend too much time doing these activities frequently. As a result, youngsters will have a sedentary lifestyle and easily carry health risks such as obesity, bad eyesight or diabetes. In addition, some TV programmes and video games contain violent contents which can be detrimental effects on children’s behaviour. As a result, children may commit crime in the future such as shoplifting or murder.

In conclusion, for the reasons mentioned I above, I believe that it is better for children to read stories from a book than to waste time watching TV or playing video games.
