The line graph below shows the number of birds of different types sighted at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary between 2001 and 2014.

The line graph compares the amount of three kinds of birds sighted at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary during the period from 2001 to 2014. The types are kingfisher, black beak pelican, flamingo.

Overall, the largest number of birds visitors caught sight of were flamingo, followed by black beak pelican and kingfisher. This order did not change over the period, numbers increased in all types.

In 2001, there were a total of about six thousand birds, two-thirds of which was Flamingo. The proportion remained roughly unchanged until 2003, as the number of birds sighted nearly increased one and half times, to around 9000 including 5 thousand flamingoes, which was ten times the number of kingfishers. In the following two years, there was a major increase in all three categories of birds with constant differences. By 2008, the number of flamingos had plateaued at 9000 units before experiencing a significant rise, peaking at a little over 12000 birds while that for black beak pelican declined of 1000, followed by a mild recover to its 2005 numbers. In contrast, the kingfisher count continued to surge at over 4000 units.
