The bar chart below describes some changes about the percentage of people were born in Australia and who were born outside Australia living in urban, rural and town between 1995 and 2010.

Answer

The chart illustrates how different it was between the number of mortality in and outside Australia living in cities, countrysides and towns during the five-year period (1995-2010).

Regarding the figure of whom was born in Australia, it could be noted that in 1995 and 2010 as well, most of residents preferred to stay in cities, which accounted for 50 per cent and over 60 per cent respectively. The ratio of people living in towns and rural areas in 1995 to that of 2010 was two to one.

When it comes to the demographics of people born outside Australia, the chart suggests that they mostly considered cities as their place to live in both 1995 and 2010, which estimated for 60 and 80 per cent in turn. The number of residents staying in towns in 1995 was higher than that of 2010, whilst the figure of population in rural areas in 1995 was four times larger than in 2010.

Overall, it could be seen that during the five-year period, the majority of people, both born in and outside Australia, made their living in urban accomodation.
