Topic : The diagram illustrates the process of making traditional wooden shoes called logs.

My essay :

The diagram shows the way how wooden shoes known as clogs has been made.

Overall, the process consists of six stages, beginning with collecting wood, poplar or willow and ending with decorating shoes.

First of all, the raw materials such as wood, poplar or willow are assembled and sawed into pieces. After that, an axe is used to sketch out a general shape of the shoe by making use of that previous piece of material. Then, that raw shoe is whittled and grinded carefully by knife to remove superfluous parts and create a more realistic shoe.

In the next stage, a spoon drill is used to bore out the shoe interior or to remove wood from within to make a hole for people to wear it. Subsequently, the shoe is finished by utilizing sandpaper for inside and outside to make it softer and more beautiful. Finally, that shoe will be decorated optionally with different colors and embellishments.
