The two maps depict the industrial area located to the east of Norbiton’s town and its redevelopment plans for the future.
Overall, the site is to be reconstructed into a residential neighborhood, with the addition of supporting facilities and housing.
Currently, there is a roundabout that connects the eastern road and the southern road. Along the east road and the roundabout, there are several factories that are to be removed in the development plan.
The area at the eastern road is to be for housing, a playground to the north, and a school at the end. From the roundabout, an additional road is planned to be added to the north crossed the river, with housing alongside the western side of the road. Connecting with the road, a west-eastern road is to be added with housing parallel to it, replacing farmland at the north. To the southwest and the southeast of the roundabout, there are to be shops and a medical center. A second roundabout is also added where the sound road meets the main road at the T-intersection. There is also a new road to be added from the northwest of the roundabout with housing alongside and at the end of the road.
